Shawn Thomas Harrington

Shawn T. Harrington, “Little Lightning” age 20, of De Pere, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021. Shawn was born on February 9, 2001 in Annapolis, MD, and he was the beloved son of Melissa Mydlo and Thomas Harrington. He was a graduate of West De Pere High School.

Shawn enjoyed traveling and especially loved spending time outdoors enjoying the beauty of nature. He was smart, quick witted and always up for a good debate. Shawn recently took an interest in woodworking and was looking forward to starting projects. He had a soft spot for all animals and never met one that he wouldn't try to cuddle. Shawn loved fine dining and was also a fine cook himself. He was a music lover, always blasting the radio and changing the channels to find the perfect mix. Shawn had an adventurous spirit and was willing to try anything. He recently traveled with his family to Australia and had fantastic vacation, enjoying the beautiful scenery and country and was looking forward to a future visit. Shawn also enjoyed a very special trip with his Grandad and family to Africa.

Shawn is survived by his loving mother and step father; Melissa and David Mydlo of De Pere, Wisconsin, loving father; Thomas Harrington of Easthampton, brother; Max Mydlo, he was a cherished grandson to his “Granny'' Dr. Lesley Harrington of Easthampton and “Grandad” Jonathan Harrington of Cambridge. He is also survived by other extended family members in Wisconsin as well as those family members in Australia. Shawn was predeceased by by his special uncle; Edward Harrington.

In accordance with Shawn's request no funeral will be held. Instead, he wished to be scattered in the Colorado Rockies, where he found peace with God when he visited last year. Locally, a private graveside service will be held at Brookside Cemetery in Easthampton. Finally, the family asks that you please be considerate and respectful to those who suffer with personal challenges in life.
