Rebeccah Rose Gunther, of Williamsburg, MA, passed away August 28, 2021, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA, with her family by her side, two weeks after experiencing a significant medical event.
Becky was born on March 9, 1988 at Cooley Dickinson in Northampton, MA to Karen Gunther-Nesbitt and the late James Gunther. Becky attended the Williamsburg and Hampshire Regional Schools.
The pride and joy of Becky's life were her three girls, Ella Rose Overton, Rhiannon Rose Rooney and Scarlett Rose Rooney. Becky loved baking and crafting with her girls, while courageously battling health issues related to juvenile diabetes.
Along with her three beautiful girls, Becky leaves behind her mother Karen Gunther-Nesbitt, her stepfather Eric Nesbitt of Easthampton, her sister Lauren Gunther of Hadley and her life partner, Brian McGill of Williamsburg. She was predeceased by her father James and her infant son Killian.
The family wishes to thank the incredible and caring team at the Heart and Vascular Unit at Baystate Medical Center for the wonderful care they gave to Becky and the amazing comfort they provided to the family. The family would also like to acknowledge the and kind generosity of all the friends and neighbors that have reached out and supported us and the girls through this difficult time.
A Celebration of Becky's life will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 4-6pm at her home located at 86 South Street in Williamsburg. Please bring pictures and stories to share. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to benefit her three girls at www.gofundme.com for Becky Gunther.
