John Anthony Guzik Jr.

John Anthony Guzik Jr. age 71, died unexpectedly at his residence on Paradise Drive in Easthampton on Saturday, August 6, 2022. John was born in Northampton on August 9,1950, the son of the late Shirley Elizabeth (Bilger) Guzik and John Anthony Guzik Sr. John was raised in Easthampton and was educated at the former Sacred Heart of Jesus Parochial School and Easthampton High School.

He worked in Easthampton for many years at the former Landry Furniture Company. John also held a second class Fireman's Boilers License in Massachusetts as well from the state of Maine where he lived for many years, before returning to Easthampton. John worked in Maine as a Mail Sorter for the United States Postal Service before his retirement.

He loved fishing, hiking, the coast of Maine and their Lighthouses. John was a Red Sox fan as well a devoted volunteer with the March of Dimes and the Eastern Maine Medical Center.

John will be dearly missed by his family including his sister; Laura Lamothe and his brother in law, Robert Lamothe of Easthampton, his brother; David Guzik of Greenfield, sister in law; Marilyn E. (Tobin) Guzik of Huntington, wife of the late Glenn A. Guzik his brother, his nieces; Leighanne Tobin Pinero, Sandra Guzik, Monica Guzik, nephews; Jeffrey Lamothe, John Glenn Guzik and grand nephews; Ryan and Kyle.
