Joanne " Joan" Sophie Novak

Joanne “Joan” Sophie Novak, age 91, a life long resident of Easthampton died on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Care One of Northampton after a brief period of declining health. Joan was born in Easthampton on February 9, 1932 and she was the daughter of the late Mary (Grabowski) Novak and Myrton Novak.

She was educated in Easthampton public schools and graduated from Easthampton High School. After her graduation from school Joan entered the work force and worked her entire career until her retirement as a secretary for the Stanley Home Products in Easthampton. She loved her home life, there she found peace and solitude. She was an avid reader and loved taking care of her home.

She is survived by her sister; Alice Konieczny of Easthampton, sister in law; Marilyn Novak of Quincy, niece; Adele Popielarczyk and husband Edward Popielarczyk of Florence, great nephews; Joseph Popielarczyk and wife Katie, Anthony Popielarczyk and wife Cassandra, great niece; Alyssa Fontaine and husband William, great great nephew; Connor Popielarczyk, two great great nieces; Annika and Page Popielarczyk and extended family and friends.
