Jeannine T. (Bessette) Miller passed away on June 18, 2022 at Holyoke Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Northampton on May 30, 1945 she was the daughter of the late René J. and Loretta A. (Seymour) Bessette. As a lifelong resident of Easthampton, she was very involved in the community. A smiling face at church, a warm greeting in the store or a wink passing by, Jeannine brightened so many lives of those who came in contact with her. Jeannine enjoyed singing in the Notre Dame Church choir; something she had done since she was a child. She worked for the Easthampton School System for over 20 years as well as McDonald’s in town for nearly 10 years. Her hobbies included baking, bird watching, walking, playing solitaire and visiting with her grandchildren. Maine was a special place for Jeannine; she enjoyed many vacations there with her husband. Jeannine is survived by her husband of nearly 58 years Stephen A. and their three children; David (Karan) of Montgomery, Michelle of Easthampton, and Sheryl (Glen) Facto of Easthampton, three grandchildren; Bradley, Abbie, and Kyle, six great grandchildren, a sister Lucille (Claude) Lepine of Easthampton, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her sister Claire T. Kelmel.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Brookside Cemetery, Williston Avenue, Easthampton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jeannine's memory to Dakin Humane Society, 171 Union St, Springfield, MA 01105 or to St. Jude's at www.stjude.org. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all who have reached out with condolences.
