Daniel Stephen Lacourse

Daniel “Danny” Stephen Lacourse, age 59, formerly of Williamsburg and of Amherst, died peacefully on Sunday May 9, 2021 at the Center for Extended Care at Amherst. Dan was born in Northampton, MA on August 8, 1961. Daniel was the fifth child of six born to the late Raymond Leo and Joan (Baldwin) Lacourse.

He was educated in the local public schools. Dan loved the outdoors, enjoyed fishing, the ocean, music, and most of all he loved his family. Dan was very close to his father and moved to Mississippi where they did landscaping together, always with their beloved dog Chucky by their side. Dan also had a special and close relationship with his sister Susan. They shared a love of music and enjoyed James Taylor concerts at Tanglewood, when Dan lived in Great Barrington.

Dan is survived by his sister: Susan Lacourse, brother; Raymond Lacourse and his wife Linda Lafontaine, sister; Judith Lee and her husband Bert Kinkead, brother; David Lacourse and his wife Lori, nephews; Joseph, David and Dylan and niece; Rachel. Besides being predeceased by his parents, Dan was also predeceased by his brother James.
