Cheryl Linda (Beckwith) Bushey

Cheryl Linda (Beckwith) Bushey, age 69 of Easthampton, died on Thursday September 30, 2021 after a period of declining health at The Holyoke Medical Center.

She was born in New London, CT on February 12, 1952 and was the daughter to the late Charlotte Rose (Johnson) Beckwith and Clayton Earl Beckwith Jr. Cheryl was raised and educated in New London,CT and graduated from high school with the class of 1970. She went on to receive her hairdressing certificate and worked at a hair salon in Groton, before taking a job with the Better Business Bureau in Waterford, CT, as an office clerk. Cheryl then relocated to Easthampton forty five years ago and worked at the local Fotomat, before working as an office clerk for Charter Cable TV until her retirement some years ago.

Cheryl was a communicant of at the Our Lady of the Parish in Easthampton and she loved decorating her home for the seasons and holidays. She also loved and enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, traveling, camping, her love for the water was something she always would look forward too, seasonal trips to many beaches and lakes. Her love for the Fourth of July fireworks celebrations in our communities is something she would always look forward too each year. Cheryl also cherished her cat “Squiggles”.

Cheryl is survived by her partner; Bradford “ Brad” James Sherman of Easthampton, sister; Connie Krauss and her husband John of Ledyard, CT, brother: Clayton Beckwith III and his wife Marilyn of Groton, CT, many nieces, nephews, cousins, grand nieces, grand nephews and friends. Besides being predeceased by her parents, Cheryl was predeceased by her partner of twenty five years; Francis Paul Plourd.

Services for Cheryl will be held on Saturday, October 9th from 11am-12:30pm for visitation, at the Graham Funeral Home in Easthampton, followed by a service at 12:30pm. A private burial will be held at Brookside Cemetery in Easthampton. In her memory, donations are requested to the Westfield Homeless Cat Rescue, 1124 East Mountain Road, Westfield, MA. 01085.
