Alphonse Edward Krawczyk Jr. age 69, formerly of Ward Ave in Easthampton died peacefully on Monday evening at the Fairview Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Great Barrington after a period of failing health. He was born in Northampton on January 8, 1954 and was the son of the late Constance (Banach) Krawczyk and Alphonse E. Krawczyk Sr.
He was educated at the former Sacred Heart of Jesus Parochial School and graduated from Easthampton High School in the class of 1972. Jack as he was known to his friends, was also a member of the Eagles golf and varsity soccer team while at EHS. After graduation he worked for the City of Easthampton as an Equipment Operator for the Department of Public Works, later working in the Construction Industry as a Truck Driver. Jack also worked as a janitor at the Pulaski Club as well at the Pepin Farms in Easthampton before his health forced him into retirement.
He loved being in the out of doors, you would always see him fishing in the ponds, streams or rivers daily. As it was said, “52 weeks a year, I'am either working or fishing” he also loved hunting, playing in the Men's Slow Pitch Softball Leagues and rooting for all the our New England Sports Teams.
He will be deeply missed by his loving 2 sisters; Barbara Ann Krawczyk of Easthampton, Nancy Jean Krawczyk of Hatfield, aunt, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Alphonse E. Krawczyk was laid to rest next to his parents in a private Graveside Service on Tuesday, May 23rd at Saint Stanislaus Cemetery in Easthampton.
