Wayne Demers Sr
Ludlow- Wayne Francis Demers Sr, age 58, of Lyon Street, Ludlow and formerly
Easthampton, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Baystate Medical
Center in Springfield surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Northampton on July 12, 1960 and was the son of the late Joseph
Demers Sr and Emily (Marhefka) Demers. He was educated in Easthampton and
earned his GED from Easthampton High School. Wayne wore many different hats
in his professional career, but most importantly, he was a carpenter and craftsman,
sports enthusiast, nature lover, avid hunter and fishermen and devoted father.
Wayne is survived by his life-partner; Laurie Walas and her children Brianna Walas
and Zachary Walas, as well as his three sons; Wayne Demers Jr and his companion
Michele, Jeremy Demers and his companion Bonnie, Christopher Demers and his
companion Shannon, three brothers; Joseph Demers Jr and his wife Carol, Garry
Demers and his wife Kathy, Mark Demers and his wife Kim, three sisters; Linda
Witherell, Donna Slawski and her husband Daniel, Lisa Denardo, the mother of
his three sons, Cheryl (Bara) Demers and many nieces and nephews. He was
predeceased by his parents and his two sisters; Joanne Woodard, Tina Petifer.
Calling Hours for Wayne will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 from
10am – 12pm at the GRAHAM FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES,
18 Adams Street, Easthampton whom honorably and proudly has been entrusted
with providing for Wayne's care and services. A Gathering of Family and Friends
will follow the calling hours at the American Legion Post #224, 190 Pleasant Street
in Easthampton from 1pm - 6pm. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted for
the Eagles Baseball Club at the Funeral Home or Legion.
