Robert William Fredey

Agawam – Robert “ Bob” William Fredey, age 62, of the Feeding Hills section of Agawam, died peacefully at his residence on Saturday, August 10, 2019. Bob was born in Springfield and was the son of the late Jules G. and Helen (Grover) Fredey. He was raised and educated in Springfieldand graduated from Springfield Trade.

He worked for Berkshire Heating and Air Conditioning Company and J & R Sweeping until his health started failing, forcing him to retire. Bob was married for thirty two years to Maureen C. (Donatini) Fredey until her death in December 2015. His family was very involved with the Feline Friends Inc and they rescued many cats over the years. Bob was a very avid Nascar fan and a former demolition derby driver at the former Riverside Park Speedway. He is survived by several cousins and many friends. Besides being predeceased by his dear wife Maureen and his parents, Bob was also predeceased by his brother; Jules G. Fredey Jr. His family would like to thank the Damour Cancer Center and Holyoke VNA Hospice Life Care, for the care and compassion provided to Bob during his illness.

A Graveside Service for Bob is scheduled for Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 10:30am at the Springfield Street Cemetery in the Feeding Hills section of Agawam.
