Patricia "Patty" Stella (Coburn) (Rice) Worpek

Patricia "Patty" S. (Coburn) (Rice) Worpek, age 64, of Easthampton, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 2, 2019, at Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton.

She was born on March 16, 1955 at Eglin Air Force Base in Valparaiso, Florida and was the daughter of Harold J. and Gertrude Ann (Russell) Coburn. She completed her education in the Easthampton Public Schools and graduated from Easthampton High School in the class of 1974. Patty considered Easthampton, MA and also Sumter, SC her home.

Patty was married to the late Charles Edward (Pete) Rice, then later to the late Daniel Worpek. She loved many hobbies including crocheting and cross stitch, gifting many treasured projects to her family and friends.

Patty is survived by her two children; Russell Rice of Marietta, Georgia and Francine (Rice) Murphy and her husband Mark of Easthampton, two grandchildren; Aubrie Murphy and Halia Murphy, her younger sister; Sundy Ann O'Connor of Easthampton, several nieces, nephews, her partner; Bruce Lawrence of Easthampton, her beloved pup Fruitcake (Harley) and many friends. Besides being predeceased by her parents, she was also predeceased by her younger brother David Coburn on April 20, 2014.

A Celebration of her life will be held on Friday June 7, 2019 at 12 noon at the Pulaski Hall. 79 Maple Street in Easthampton. There are no calling hours and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
